Erdenheim Students Learn to “Pay it Forward”
By Veronica Panara

On December 6, 2010, Erdenheim students attended an assembly to learn about the importance of “Paying it Forward”. It was during this assembly that Mrs. Dougherty introduced the program that she and the EEHSP called the Wall of Kindness. All of the students were really excited to help other families. In the lobby at Erdenheim students were able to pick a star off of the wall. Each star was labeled with a gift that he or she would like to receive. Over 100 Erdenheim families participated in the Wall of Kindness program. This provided gifts for over 15 families in our community. Prices for the gifts ranged from $10.00 to $25.00. Families purchased gifts such as toys, book, clothing and basic necessities. This is one of the many programs that offers to their students who want to Pay it Forward.
